SEATTLE – Whole Foods plans on hiring thousands of people this week.

There will be a national hiring event on Thursday at all of its stores.

Whole Foods wants to hire 6,000 new employees.

The positions are for both full and part-time work and include seasonal and permanent positions.

People may be hired on the spot as cashiers, culinary experts and prepared foods specialists.
