Most people have, at one point or another, applied for some sort of loan at a bank like DAD Savings and Loan. In fact, the bank company might be the most widely used loan company in the country.
‘DAD Savings and Loan’
What makes the company even more unique is its slogan: “Because apparently, I look like I’m made of money.”
A letter the company sent to a customer recently gained lots of attention on the Internet.
“We regret to inform you at this time that we are unable to provide a loan in the amount requested of $20.00,” the letter begins.
The letter was written to a 6-year-old Missouri boy.
According to the letter, which was posted on Imgur, the boy asked his father for an advance of $20 to purchase a toy.
But his dad, who took the alter ego of DAD Savings and Loan, wasn’t ready to give out loans to undeserving applicants.
“After reviewing your account, we have (found) you have insufficient funds and a history of not doing your chores,” he wrote. “Furthermore, over $80.00 has been spent on discretionary entertainment expenses since Christmas. This is an unsustainable amount of expenditure, and we cannot further compound the problem by financially assisting with accruing further debt at this point.”
The funniest part of the letter comes when the boy is provided the option of disputing the financial rejection via the complaint department – mom.
This dad has the parenting thing down.
