Study: Employees feeling pressure to use own devices for work

A recent study shows a growing pressure on employees to use their own devices for work.

Syntonic, a mobile platform and service provider, published the survey.  It found that employees also struggle with having to use their own data plans to perform work which often leads to a delay in productivity.

According to the study, contributing to the angst could be employee unawareness of their company’s reimbursement policies or their state’s labor laws.

“By now, it’s a well-known fact that BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) provides a significant boost to employee productivity – our survey takes it a step further, showing that it’s time for employers and employees to enter a new phase of thinking if we are to close the gaps within current BYOD usage and continue enjoying the benefits,” said Gary Greenbaum, CEO and Co-Founder of Syntonic. “
