The retailer is planning to hire 45,000 seasonal employees to be cashiers, lawn and garden associates, stockers and assemblers of outdoor products, according to Lowe’s corporate office.
In addition, Lowe’s needs loaders to help customers who order products online and pick them up at the store, a trend that accounts for 60% of the retailer’s online orders.
Hiring for the seasonal positions has already started, and workers can expect to be scheduled between the months of March and September. Some employees may have the opportunity to transition into part-time or full-time positions, according to clarkhoward.com.
The company says it provides competitive pay, flexible hours and a 10% employee discount to seasonal employees.
The estimated amount of seasonal workers the company is looking to hire in the Seattle-Tacoma area is 654.
