Jesse’s Favorite Thanksgiving Recipe


Super Rich Mashed Potatoes 

3 lbs Yukon Gold Potatoes Cubed

64 oz Chicken Broth

2 Cubes Butter

1 Small Onion

5 Garlic Cloves

3 oz cream cheese

1/4 cups (or more to suit your consistency) Half and Half

1 Cheese cloth bag


Rough chop the onion and peel 3 cloves. Place them in the cheese cloth bag and drop it all in a pot.

Add chicken broth to pot and bring to a simmer for 15 min.

Cube potatoes, toss into the pot and bring to a boil.

In a small sauce pan, melt butter and then add two smashed garlic cloves. Let that simmer a bit.

When potatoes are soft, remove the cheese cloth bag-then smash the potatoes.

Add cream cheese.

Now here’s where you use your imagination.

Bit by bit add equal parts butter/garlic mixture and half and half to the potatoes. Taste along the way.

When you get to the right flavor profile stop.

Add salt and pepper to taste.
