Fiat Chrysler is recalling nearly 2 million vehicles worldwide because of airbag and seat belt defects that are being linked to three deaths.
What you need to know about the Chrysler recall
The following models are involved in the recall:
- 2010 Chrysler Sebring
- 2011-2014 Chrysler 200
- 2010-2012 Dodge Caliber
- 2010-2014 Dodge Avenger
- 2010-2014 Jeep Patriot and Compass SUVs
Of the 1.9 million vehicles being recalled worldwide, it is believed that about 1.4 million were sold in the U.S.

While Takata airbags have been central to the largest automotive recall in U.S. history, there’s no word if Takata airbags were being used in the vehicles Fiat Chrysler is recalling.
So far three fatalities and five injuries have been reported.
