The first day of autumn is Sept. 22, and popular food brands are gearing up to meet one of the most desired fall flavors: pumpkin.
Special K, Cheerios and Nutri-Grain are among those that will release pumpkin-flavored products.
Special K will offer Pumpkin Spice Crunch, which features a blend of rice and wheat flakes covered with nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and ginger.
Pumpkin Spice Cheerios will feature, a “magical blend of warm, autumn spices,” according to Delish. General Mills spokesman Mike Siemienas said the cereal is made with pumpkin puree and will be available through December.
“Pumpkin Spice was an obvious choice,” Siemienas told USA TODAY. “It’s a flavor people look forward to. It reminds them of fall and has a great taste.”
Pumpkin Spice Nutri-Grain bars will also hit shelves. The bars, which come at just 140 calories, have a real pumpkin filling and cinnamon-spice flavor, Country Living reported.
Other pumpkin-flavored favorites include pumpkin spice cream cheese, pumpkin spice Jell-O, pumpkin spice coffee, pumpkin spice marshmallows and pumpkin spice swirl bread, among others.
