Better Business Bureau Northwest & Pacific said it recently opened an investigation concerning Corona, CA online pet retailer Paw Prime due to a pattern of complaints, including six from the Northwest & Pacific region, and an inability to get a response from the company’s owners.
Paw Prime is also operating under the newly created name Affinity Pets.
According to the BBB, Paw Prime currently has 110 total customer complaints, with 106 of those going unanswered, 56 negative customer reviews, and zero positive or neutral reviews.
Since January 2017, consumers shopping through Paw Prime have reported an estimated $3,000 in losses. Buyers say in complaints that items ordered were either never received or incorrect or defective items were received.
Some consumers who tried to reach the company said they either experienced poor customer service or received no response at all.
The volume, pattern and amount of complaints unanswered led BBB to give Paw Prime an “F” rating — the lowest possible rating in the BBB system.
Paw Prime has also been operating under the newly created website Affinity Pets, which shares the same location and customer service email address as Paw Prime, sells some of the same products, and has a very similar looking website, BBB said.
The company’s website listed its operating hours, customer service hours and an email address. The only phone number listed was on their Facebook page. BBB officials said when they called the number listed (855-239-1PAW), a message says the number is no longer in service. When KIRO 7 checked the PawPrime.com website Thursday, it was no longer operating.
On it’s website, Affinity Pets lists its number as 855-474-PETS. A call placed to that number says they are not available and that the caller should leave a message.
BBB said it has made several attempts to reach someone to resolve the complaints but Paw Prime has ignored its efforts.
