If you’re a frequent Amazon shopper, you already know that the online retailer offers a convenient way to buy various products at a lower price than traditional department and other stores.

But if you haven’t done much comparison shopping lately, you may not realize that you can find some of your favorite items for even less at stores like T.J. Maxx!

Cheaper than Amazon? Find these items for less at T.J. Maxx

Popular discount retailers T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and Ross say they save shoppers 20% to 60% off regular department store or specialty store prices on the name brand products that people really love.

Merchandise changes frequently, providing a treasure hunt experience that keeps shoppers coming back.

There’s no question that Amazon has hurt struggling department stores like Macy’s and Sears, which have recently announced store closings, but don’t underestimate the “T.J Maxx effect.”

Glen Zubia, a Texas man who paid off $50,000 of personal debt by flipping name brand merchandise for a profit, knows his way around discount stores.

He told me that T.J. Maxx is most likely to beat Amazon’s prices on these items:

Name brand clothing

Purses

Luggage

Tech accessories

Using Amazon’s app, we compared Amazon’s prices (including Prime) with T.J. Maxx.

Final thought

The bottom line is that developing a habit of comparison shopping, whether it’s using Amazon’s app or conducting a simple Google search, can save you a lot of money over time.

Remember to shop around and never assume that one retailer will always have the lowest price.

And finally, you should pretty much never pay full price for anything!
